Under the viaduct

Another Porte de Clignancourt fleamarket sketch. This old man was hoping to sell the most incredible rubbish: old clothes, worn shoes, outdated schoolbooks. It was cold, he had a threadbare blanket on his lap. But he was protected from the rain because of the viaduct above. On the other side of the street other vendors had their stuff spread out on cartons with ropes on each corner.
Whenever the horse mounted police came around, these guys would quickly lift the ropes, thus folding the carton and the contents, and be gone within seconds.
